Tibet Everest Base Camp Trek kicks-off from Lhasa with a visit to Potala and Norbulingka palace along with other historical and spiritual landmarks of the city. Next, we proceed for an overland journey to Shigatse and finally to Lotingri, the starting point of the trek. En route, we explore several Tibetan landmarks like the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, Khumbum Stupa, Phalkot Monastery and other sites that exhibits Tibetan fabled culture and tradition.
We trek uphill to Advanced Base Camp that promises that exhilarating view of stunning mountain ranges and alpine scenery that is sure to last in your memory for lifetime. Although the climbing is not difficult, altitude might create problem for some trekkers.
Trekking to Everest Advanced Base Camp is the perfect choice for those mountain lovers who have ability to walk for 5-6 hours a day in remote mountain terrain. It demands high physical fitness along with prior trekking experience in high altitude. It is also important to have positive altitude and strong determination. Day 10: Everest Base Camp: Acclimatization and exploration
Day 11: Trek: Everest Base Camp – Japanese Camp (5,460m/17,913ft) – 12km/3-4 hours trek
