18 days Tibet Everest Base Camp trek is once in life time experience to witness the Tibetan awesome culture, brown rolling hills, ruined forts, fascinating monasteries, ancient caravan trails and exceptional scenery. It features all the elements that an exotic Tibet tour has to offer. We trek through the same trail used by Everest summiteer and conclude our trip Everest advanced base camp at (6,340m), so close to the Everest.

Tibet Everest Base Camp Trek kicks-off from Lhasa with a visit to Potala and Norbulingka palace along with other historical and spiritual landmarks of the city. Next, we proceed for an overland journey to Shigatse and finally to Lotingri, the starting point of the trek. En route, we explore several Tibetan landmarks like the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, Khumbum Stupa, Phalkot Monastery and other sites that exhibits Tibetan fabled culture and tradition.

We trek uphill to Advanced Base Camp that promises that exhilarating view of stunning mountain ranges and alpine scenery that is sure to last in your memory for lifetime. Although the climbing is not difficult, altitude might create problem for some trekkers.

Trekking to Everest Advanced Base Camp is the perfect choice for those mountain lovers who have ability to walk for 5-6 hours a day in remote mountain terrain. It demands high physical fitness along with prior trekking experience in high altitude. It is also important to have positive altitude and strong determination. April to May during spring and October during autumn are the time of year for Tibet Everest Advanced Base Camp Trek.

Day 01: Arrival at Lhasa (3,650m/11,972ft)

Day 02: Sightseeing of Lhasa: Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Tibet Traditional Hospital

Day 03: Sightseeing of Lhasa: Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar

Day 04: Drive: Lhasa – Shigatse (3,900m/12,795ft) via Gyantse: 367km/6-7 hours

Day 05: Drive: Shigatse – Lotingri (4,050m/13,284ft): 305km/5-6 hours

Day 06: Drive: Lotingri – Lungchang and trek to Lungchang Pang (4,600m/15,091ft) – 1 hour drive/3 hours trek

Day 07: Trek: Lungchang Pang – Panga La Thang via Nam La Pass (4,500m/16,732ft) – 5-6 hours trek

Day 08: Trek: Pangla Thang – Rongbuk (5,000m/16,400ft) – 15km/4-5 hours trek

Day 09: Trek: Rongbuk – Everest Base Camp (5,250m/17,220ft) – 4-5 hours trek

Day 10: Everest Base Camp: Acclimatization and exploration

Day 11: Trek: Everest Base Camp – Japanese Camp (5,460m/17,913ft) – 12km/3-4 hours trek

Day 12: Trek: Japanese Camp – Interim Camp (5,800m/19,028ft) – 4-5 hours trek

Day 13: Trek: Intrerim Camp – Changtse Base Camp (5,950m/19,520ft) – 5km/3-4 hours trek

Day 14: Trek: Changtse Base Camp – Everest Advanced Base Camp and back to Changtse Base Camp – 7-8 hours trek

Day 15: Trek back: Changtse Base Camp – Everest Base Camp and drive back to Lotingri (4,348m/14,268ft) – 5-6 hours trek/2 hours trek

Day 16: Drive: Lotingri – Kerung (2,800m/9,186ft) – 4-5 hour drive

Day 17: Drive: Kerung – Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary of Tibet Everest Base Camp Trek

After breakfast, our airport representative will transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. You will catch an hour long Tran-Himalayan flight which is considered as one of the exciting mountain air voyage in the world.

You will fly across Mt. Everest (8,848m), Kanchenjunga (8,536m) and other gigantic Himalayan peaks. It also offers some of excellent views of highest glaciers in the Himalayan region. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be transferred to the designated hotel in Lhasa.
