Nepal Famous City Tours (Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Janakpur)

After breakfast, we begin our guided tour to several historic, antique and spiritual site in Kathmandu which are protected by UNESCO world heritage sites. Today, we explore quaint Durbar Square, Pashupatinath (Hindu Temple), Swayambhunath (2,000 years old monkey temple) and Boudhanath (largest Buddhist stupa).

After sightseeing of UNESCO designated world heritage sites, we drive back to hotel and get our trekking gears checked by our trekking leader and discuss about the trip Alpine Kailash’s office.

After early morning breakfast, we drive towards Chitwan that is located 175 km far from Kathmandu. We drive through the winding route along the bank of Trishuli River. Upon arrival at Chitwan, we drive to hotel in Chitwan National Park. After hotel refreshment and short refreshment, our team guide will provide brief description on Chitwan National Park tour.

We then enjoy a refreshment walk on the bank of the Rapti River and witness fascinating sunset in the sub-tropical jungle.

After breakfast, we set out for canoe ride in Rapti River to explore aquatic birds. If you are lucky, you will get the glimpse of endangered crocodile-Gharial. The boat ride lasts for 30 minutes and you will proceed for exploration of elephant breeding camp where you will learn how wild elephant are trained to work for human beings.

Option:

After canoe ride, you can choose to enjoy nature walk that lasts for 3 hours. It is complete nature walk tour to explore the tranquility of forest and witness the animal in their natural habitat. We return to hotel by afternoon.

After lunch, we set for exploration of floral and faunal species deep in the jungle on the elephant back. Great experience. You will explore rare royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhino, sambar, spotted deer and wild boars.

After breakfast, we proceed towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha located to the southwest of Rupandehi which takes about 4 hours. We explore the broken Asoka Pillar, remnant of old monastery, images of Buddha’s mother Maya Devi in Lumbini. Bhojpuri and Tharu are the major culture in Lumbini.

After breakfast, we explore the whole premises of Lumbini. We visit the sacred garden spread over 8 sq km, The Crane Sanctuary and other historical place in Lumbini.

After breakfast, we drive from Lumbini to Palpa Tansen. It is located at a hill called Shreenagar Danda. It is also known as bright Himalayan town. We can explore the extensive range of Dhaulagiri in the west and Gauri Shankar in the north-east.

After breakfast, we leave Tansen behind and proceed for Pokhara. It is 3 hours road journey via winding route. En route, we explore lush mixed forest, snow-clad peaks, rivers and scattered settlements.
Upon arrival at Pokhara, you will be transferred to the hotel for refreshment. In afternoon, stroll around the Lakeside Pokhara followed by boating in Phewa Lake and visit to Tal Barahi Temple.

After breakfast, we proceed to explore Davis waterfall, Guptseshwor Mahadev cave, Tibetan refugee camp, Bindabasani Temple, historical museum and international mountaineering museum.

Today, we make pre-dawn drive to the hilltop of Sarangkot. The view of sunrise and Himalayan range is enticing. After breakfast, we leave Pokhara behind and drive back to Kathmandu to end our adventurous trip in Nepal. In the evening, stroll around the bustling city Thamel and catch last minute shopping. Also attend farewell dinner organized by Alpine Kailash team.

Today, we wake up early in the morning to enjoy majestic sunrise view over Himalayan horizon. You can stretching view of Himalayan range extending from Dhaulagiri to the west, Past Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga to the far west.

After breakfast, we drive to domestic airport to catch a (25 minutes) flight to Janakpur, the birthplace of goddess Sita. We walk around the local market and explore local cultural and way of living. Janakpur lies to the southern part of Nepal. Historically called Mithalanchal, it is center of ancient Maithili Art & Culture, which has its own language and script.

The most important religious reference to Mithila/Janakpur is mentioned in Hindu’s holy book Ramayana. It is the place where King Janak found baby Sita in a furrow of a field and raised her as his daughter. As Rama and Sita are major gods in Hinduism, Janakpur is significance pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

Early in the morning before breakfast, we pay homage to Janaki Temple (Naulakha Mandir), Ram Mandir, Vivaha Mandap, Bhutnath Temple, Ganga Sagar (Pond), Dhanush Sagar (Pond) & Sankat Mochan Temple.

After breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu to end our 13 days famous city tour around Nepal. Arrival at Kathmandu by late evening. Stroll around the bustling city Thamel and catch last minute shopping. Attend farewell dinner organized by Alpine Kailash in typical Nepali restaurant with cultural shows.
