Bhutan Laya Ghasa Trek is one of the finest treks in the Himalaya that covers all the major sightseeing spots of northern Bhutan along with the border with Tibet. This trek heads northwest from Paro, offering a varied landscapes, from picturesque farmland and sub-tropical forest to high altitude barren land and high passes. After arrival at Paro valley, our 27 days Bhutan Laya Ghasa Trek begins with a trek to Shana. The trail follows Paro River and walk along wide, lush and cultivated valleys beneath forest hills encountering many herds of Yak. Following the Pachu River, we ascend and descend through the forested route of Pine, Oak and Spurce forest to Soi Thangthangkha. We reach Jangothang, the base camp of Jomolhari and explore the grand view of sacred Jangothang (the mountain goddess). Crossing the sleepy pass of Nyelela Pass and negotiating with several ascend and descend section, we drop down to the valley of Lingshi.
Laya Ghasa trek further continues towards Chebisa, a picturesque valley with a huge waterfall at one end of the Shangri La Village. We climb down steeply through the forested trail to the valley of Tsarigathnag where we explore huge glaciers on the way. Crossing damp forest covered with moss, the trail move ahead admiring enchanting singing birds to the Gasa valley, a picturesque ancient Dzong city. Here we soothe at natural hot spring and explore the surrounding area of Ghasa.
